Q & A: So… I don’t see membership?
We are more interested in you becoming a member of the body of Christ and of our family.
Matthew 12:46-50
While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him. But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”
Sadly we have seen members come and go. They fill out a form, join us just long enough to tell us of their lives and troubles, and then disappear. We don’t care where you are a member, you were wonderfully and fearfully made by our Father and you are our family. We only want to know you and spend time with you worshiping the Lord and studying His word.
Q & A: So I can come to your church?
We need to stop you right there. We don’t believe it is our church. It is God’s church. And He beckons you to Him. He says “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Being as Christ is beckoning you and it’s His church, we don’t feel the need to get in the way of that. We do rest on the Bible as the only ultimate, complete and perfect authority, and all teachings in it will be discussed and followed in His church, so as long as you are good with following His Word and commandments while you are in His church, we will not stand in the way of Christ’s invitation.
Q & A: I just want to check out a service is that OK?
We believe that every person who comes through the doors of His church is a holy and wonderful gift from Him. Sometimes He brings folks for a season. Sometimes just for an hour. Sometimes for a long while which is a bonus! But we are overjoyed to have each and every person He brings to us, regardless of for what purpose or for how long. Come in to worship, to use the restroom, to ask directions, or just to say hello. And if you have another church you attend, please feel free to tell us about it. If it sounds like a place we’d be interested in attending we may just come and catch a service when we are not conducting one. And we are always excited to hear news of the saints.
